Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about solar installation, government subsidies, and our services.
PM Surya Ghar Yojana is a government scheme that provides subsidy for rooftop solar installations. For systems up to 3KW, you can get ₹78,000 subsidy. For systems between 3KW to 10KW, the subsidy is ₹78,000 for the first 3KW and ₹30,000/KW for remaining capacity. Arrow Power Controls handles the entire subsidy application process for you.
From initial site assessment to system commissioning, the typical timeline is 15-30 days for residential installations and 30-60 days for commercial projects. This includes site survey, system design, procurement, installation, and net metering approvals. We handle all BESCOM/KPTCL paperwork.
Net metering allows you to export excess solar energy back to the grid and receive credits on your electricity bill. In Karnataka, BESCOM provides net metering for rooftop solar systems. When your panels generate more electricity than you use, the excess flows to the grid and your meter runs backwards. Arrow Power Controls handles the entire net metering approval process.
Yes, solar panels work during cloudy days and monsoon, though at reduced efficiency (typically 30-50% of peak output). Karnataka receives excellent sunlight for 250-300 days per year. If you choose a hybrid system with battery backup, you'll have stored power available even during extended cloudy periods or power cuts.
Solar panels require minimal maintenance. Periodic cleaning (every 2-3 months) to remove dust and debris is recommended. Our systems come with 25 years performance warranty, and we offer annual maintenance packages. Smart monitoring systems alert you about any performance issues.
Yes, Arrow Power Controls is an authorized KPTCL/BESCOM vendor with over 22 years of experience. We are MNRE approved and handle all government compliance, subsidy applications, and net metering approvals. This ensures your installation meets all regulatory requirements.
On-grid systems are connected directly to the electricity grid and don't include batteries. They're more affordable and you earn credits through net metering. Hybrid systems include battery storage, providing power during outages. We recommend hybrid systems for areas with frequent power cuts.
We offer multiple financing options including EMI starting at ₹59/day, zero upfront cost through PM Surya Ghar subsidy, and partnerships with leading banks for solar loans at low interest rates. The typical ROI for residential systems is 3-4 years, after which you enjoy free electricity.
